The SDG Business Conference is one of the Project’s platform to promote SDGs and raise awareness on the critical role of businesses in delivering on the promise of sustainable and inclusive development. It is an opportunity to mobilize interest and support among businesses in Bosnia and Herzegovina, shedding light on how they can engage with the SDG framework, driving growth and productivity, whilst at the same time contributing to the better world envisaged by the 2030 Agenda. Importantly, the conference is an opportunity to gain insight into Swedish experiences in this context, with focus on good sustainability practices implemented by Swedish companies.
Lead by International Burch University, the SDG Business Wekk will present a panel where young innovators and sector business leaders will have the opportunity to discuss the future of business and value of education in promotion of new entrepreneurs as well as support to interpreneurship in companies.
The event will also engage the youth through competition on social media that will result in selection of the most innovative solutions that are based on SDGs created by students. The best innovation will be awarded by the Project.
The list of panelists will include representatives of acknowledged leaders in the business sector and winners of the innovation challenge.

TYPE OF THE EVENT: ON-LINE
The Sounding board is an opportunity for the companies participating in the SDG Accelerator for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) to receive feedback on the solution being developed through the Innovation Journey. The Sounding Board comprises of a number of experts (4-6) with diverse backgrounds and competencies spanning both commercial and SDG expertise. Each company will deliver a 10-minute presentation demonstrating the business case behind the solution.
The SDG Accelerator for SMEs in BiH is aiming to accelerate innovation and growth of small and medium sized enterprises in BiH through development of new business solutions for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The original idea proved its efficacy in Denmark where UNDP have already finalized two generations of the programme in which the participating companies developed exciting solutions with concrete commercial potential and positive impact on the SDGs.

The theme of this year’s LeardersTribe is “Leadership in Crisis: Challenging the Status-Quo”. The areas of focus of the Leaders Tribe organized under the framework of the SDG Business Week 2020 will be Business, Education, Healthcare and Government. The speakers will include inspiring leaders from different parts of the globe (including speakers from Australia, Europe, North america and Asia).

The “SDG Business Pioneers Award in BIH” is the first annual award in Bosnia and Herzegovina aiming to promote the private sector’s efforts in the field of sustainable development in the country. This year the Award put spotlight to the best companies in categories of micro, small, medium and large companies that have their operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina – those whose actions actively contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals, both globally and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The digital transformation conference, the opening event of the SDG Business Week 2020, will aim to present the European Digital Strategy (Single Digital Market), as well as specific examples of government policies/mechanisms supporting the transition towards a digital economy, while discussing the role of different actors focusing on the private sector and their experiences in the process. The Conference as the platform will aim to open a discussion and demonstrate paths for integration of expertise in digitalisation processes including data analytics, APIs, machine learning and other technologies that offer companies valuable ways to improve their competitiveness. It will tackle new technologies that redefine products and services, blurring industry boundaries and creating entirely new sets of non-traditional competitors as well as cultural/organizational transformation. It will provide insight for mapping of relevant diaspora capacities, expertise and experiences and mapping of relevant initiatives (including partnership building with chambers of commerce, ministries, projects, etc).
