In the Center for Children and Youth Novo Sarajevo, in compliance with all epidemiological measures, consultations were held today with socio-economic partners on the topic of the document “Framework for the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals in Bosnia and Herzegovina”.

The aim of the consultations was to approximate the Sustainable Development Goals and the process of their adjustment to socio-economic actors. The partners accessed the consultations through the Zoom platform and provided their feedback and suggestions for improving the document.

The consultations were opened by Amra Abadžić from the Brčko District of BiH, after which the introductory speech on the 2030 Agenda and its significance for BiH was given by Ingrid Macdonald, the UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Apart from her, Nemanja Kovacevic on behalf of the Ministry of European Integration and International Cooperation of the Republika Srpska, Amra Fetahovic on behalf of the Directorate for Economic Planning of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nijaz Avdukic on behalf of the Federal Institute for Development Programming also spoke about the draft Framework for Sustainable Development Goals in BiH.

In the second part of the consultation, the floor was given to the socio-economic partners who gave their comments and feedback on the draft document through discussion.

This is the final round of consultations, followed by the submission of the document to the adoption procedure, to the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Government of the Brcko District of BiH and the governments of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska.
