Blueprint

Blueprint is intended for facilitators leading one or more SMEs through the SDG innovation journey, as well as for companies looking for inspiration in considering new methods and possible solutions. This Blueprint provides practical guidance on how to leverage the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in business innovation.

The purpose of this Blueprint is to provide a practical and inspiring guide aimed at positioning the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the heart of business development and accelerating innovation on a product, service or business model. Together with the accompanying toolkit, this Blueprint is a guide for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through the SDG innovation journey.

SDG Accelerator – Toolbox

The SDG innovation journey begins with a detailed definition of the SDG problem that the company wants to solve and ends with planning how the company will integrate the new solution into business operations. The innovation journey consists of five phases, including three one-on-one meetings with each company and two joint workshops with all companies, as well as global UN experts, other experts, relevant business partners and investors.

SDG Opportunity Cards

SDG Opportunity Cards are an idea creation tool used as inspiration for private companies to define potential problems relevant to solving and finding on their innovation path to new products/services. There are a total of 60 cards, each describing one specific SDG goal, the necessary solutions and possible market entry points for the private sector, recognizing that the private sector plays a very important role in addressing the challenges we want to address by 2030.
