United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in cooperation with the Republika Srpska Development Agency, has organized a workshop for private companies on how to integrate the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in business strategies.

The workshop was held at the premises of the Republika Srpska Development Agency in Banja Luka, and was implemented as part of the SDGs Roll-out Support and Private Sector Engagement project, which is funded by the Government of Sweden.

Goal of the training was to promote the importance and business opportunities that come with the implementation of SDGs, as well as using the tools for self-evaluation of SDG integration into business models.

The workshop’s focus was on the companies that are willing to engage in inclusive and sustainable business. The tools that were promoted accompany the firms in their overarching business journey and help them thrive. The training will help the companies to improve their business models, to increase support within their company and to maximize profits.

In addition, participants were briefed about the SDG Business Pioneers Award 2020, which promotes private sector activities in the field of sustainable development in BiH.

The training was held free of charge for company representatives.
